VODACOM - I was Misinformed!!!!!

Hi MyBroadBand community,

Please check the complaint against Vodacom! Be warned, they mislead customers and grossly misinform us!

And to top it off, I am a RED customer and have had ZERO feedback from them!

Did you take it into Samsung? They only look at the activation date on your payment slip.

I wasnt advised that I need to download the APP and make a payment. I am the one now needing to pay the massive repair costs!

Most manufacturers require you to personally register your device in order to receive extra warranties like free screen replacement etc.

IIRC when we needed to replace the screen on my wife's phone all we needed to do was to go to Vodacom and get a slip printed with the phone details, we then took the phone and slip to Samsung and they sent the phone in for repairs and a week later we went to collect.

This was a few months back ... we did not install any Samsung app or dealt with Samsung before that. In fact we did not even know we get free screen repairs before a (honest) cellphone repair shop informed us.
