Vodacom launches Betavine

Vodacom today announced that it has launched Betavine which promises to enable South African mobile application developers to develop widgets and applications with the full tool kit provided on the Betavine website.

Not exactly a South African thing. It's a Vodafone initiative, and UK based.

Also - this was effectively launched in 2007...
