Here are a few suggestions for a new name for Vodacom:

BetaNet - The network is still being built but we'll charge you any way!

MicrosoftNet - It'll never work but we'll charge you extra!

Vodacon - We'll get you to pay for 30 day bundles that are only available for use for 26 days or so because the networks down!

CrashNet - All our PC's are off line please call us later!

6DayNet - Yes you can access our network six days a week!

TitsupNet - Regular outages not available on any other network!

Come on have a go!

Message sent via Virgin Mobile - Vodacom 3G is down again!

If this is your way of complaining about connection problems, I don't think you are going to get anywhere.

I got errors on trying to connect to the network from 6:45 this morning till about 10:15.

My phone was used as a paperweight during this time.

Lol. You need to have a backup SIM 4 every network, cos you never know which one will b working... at least Virgins only 50c pmeg.
I say just blame Telkom.

Yep... except when gprs fails on VC then Cell C's gprs doesn't work either. Not too sure about VM though, do they ride on Cell C's network who are in turn using VC's towers?

VM is Cell C essentially. Cell C has both their own network and a roaming agreement with Vodacom.

Now what about this:

4 x E220 in one package fitted with MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and Virgin Mobile SIM cards. Call it the Huawei E220 4x4. Add a new software that scans all available networks and logs onto the fastest available network! :D:D

I like that idea, but I would rather have that technology in one of the new datacards that can do 7.2MB.

At leasts it would be futer proof, for a wile @least ;)
