Vodacom new website - sneak peek.

Yup, looks cleaner, haven't explored all the options. I was going to register (as I am on the v4me site anyway) but thought I'd just wait incase that caused me some issues with using the old and new sites at same time, and also wondered if doing that would give me any headaches down the line when it went live.

Very nice indeed! :D

But i want a low-band version. :p

Perhaps it is a bit bland...but I prefer websites that is less hectic. The old one made me feel a bit pshycodelic (respect to the IT people that designed it)....just my personal taste :-)

Yep, looked at it last night after following a link from v4me, I clicked on something and was asked to login - I lost interest at that point.

It's called BETA for a reason. :erm:

@ ic. I really do not know how Vodacom is planning to proceed with this. I saw it by chance when I had to look up some info for a client on Vodacom.co.za. On the new site you can log in (once that goes live) so I am assuming the functionality that is currently on 4me, will be moved over to the new site.

I expect I will explore it further when my curiosity gets the better of me, and while I generally like ongoing change, I don't know if Vodacom's customers will like a change to the familiar v4me - it will work if it works simpler and quicker than v4me currently does [not including the problems with backend systems being down or backend links being overloaded all the time]...

Perhaps...but as they say, change is as good as a holiday :-)

But I agree, it is a bit difficult to give proper feedback on a beta system as you cant yet log in and check out the functions etc. But perhaps this is mostly a layout and desgin preview and the functionality is still being worked on by the IT wizzards :-)

Just thought it would be interesting to see what you guys think of it.

IMO it looks like a reworked & combined version of both www.vodacom4me.co.za and www.vodacom.co.za, such that www.vodacom4me.co.za might in future be redirected to www.vodacom.co.za - that's my guess.

It might be an idea to have a look at it using a cellery phone - I'm using Firefox on my notebook, but it's important that such a site works effectively & efficiently on mobile browsers as well.

It would be really nice if they had a mobile friendly web site, for a cellular provider you would think that they would maybe have this in mind ???
