Vodacom OOB data does not work. I have been fighting with them now for 2 months. Gone through all the options of blocking it on my side and their side. Every time they full of excuses and I am losing airtime. Can't even get a reference number to go to ICASA to complain. Any suggestions?

Yes Look at my report. Vodacom tried to block it and I have done it from my side as well. As I have said all the options.

I'm having the same issue. I've used their website, I've dialed *135# and gone through the services there. I've dialled 135 and followed the prompts there. Yet still, these bastards keep selling me data I don't want by stealing my airtime from me. I need the airtime to make calls, and I shouldn't have to manually turn off my mobile data because they will take my money to fulfil data requests from my phone. Lord knows they won't fulfil any requests once they've bled you dry of your airtime!

No that is incorrect.

Prepaid allows you to control your costs, impossible to be robbed on prepaid and you generally get more for your money (price per megabyte wise)

So all these guys losing airtime and data...what are they on? Not pre-paid?

How do you know its data that is eating up your airtime?

Pre-paid is for suckers...you're asking to be robbed.

As I did not use my phone, and my airtime is going missing and I have no data on my phone. According to ICASA that is illegal. Even Vodacom that analysis it says there is something wrong. Airtime is for airtime Data is for data, Even people on contract to reflect the snotty remark above airtime are also stolen.

And you have eliminated subscription services as the cause?

If you didnt use your phone how do you know its data that was billed for?

Did you check for any Wasp subscriptions ?

Did you check your Phones data logs ?
Have you tried loading Data and seeing if that disappears?

Yes done it all. I can connect to the internet without data. (Illegal). Even went with Vodacom through the logs. I am not the only one complaining. If I load data it is used as normal. With the new OOB rules even if your data is on and you are out of data bundle it should tell you you can't connect to the internet, mine still connect and then use my airtime which is at a higher rate, which ICASA says it is illegal. As I have indicated Vodacom agree there is something wrong with their system . My wife's is working perfectly. I do not have that problem with my Telkom or MTN phones. My son's contract phone he has the same problem as soon as he used up his allocated data a month then it uses his airtime. you can block or unblock the OOB by *135# on Vodacom and then through all the options menu. But it does not work with me. My wife gets an SMS with every certain percentage used till she used all her data, then she can't go on the internet or use any social media till she recharge although she can still phone as she has airtime.

Yep none. Internet used the airtime as Vodacom and I verified with the App. OOB is not working. Verified with dialing *135# and going through the options. They have a few complaints already.
