Vodacom pushing up bill? - BITS & Adobe Downloads [solved]

Try PdfXchange Viewer v2.0 its FREE and allows export to any other image format Pdf - pcx and full of various edit tools and the big plus you have a choice of 32bit and 64bit versions.
Definetly no background updates either.

Norton Antivirus and Zone Alarm on the same pc - that should be interesting. Hope they sorted their nonsense out, because back in my Windows days they either hogged resources or were (are?) a biatch to uninstall.

I'm using Ubuntu nowadays. True enlightenment.

Hmmm, sorry for taking so long to get back.... long weekend and all.

It seems switching off (disabling) the BIT service fixed matters but after a while it just gets restarted again? Is this normal for Vista? Still haven't installed Zone Alarm. I also ran ipconfig and that 42.0.2.73 ip address doesn't come up

My Vista also seems to get BITS going again after you kill it, but it seems as though Adobe was using BITS to get updates. When I stopped BITS (temporarily) Adobe update started on it's own, i.e. it was no longer an anonymous process behind BITS and I could spot who was grabbing bandwidth. Since I removed Adobe Reader things have been okay here.

That IP address is seen on Netlimiter, not IPConfig.

Yes, sorry thats what i meant the ip address comes up on netlimiter not ipconfig. What did you land up installing in place of adobe?
