Under warranty?
I have a power supply which one pc board needs to be replace because of "water damage". I told them there is no water. They ask if there is a aircon inside the room, and there is, always on [room temp=18].
Try small claims court. In any case they have to prove the following:Ag no... That sounds like taking care of another baby... So what you saying is im screwed here? And that they have ground to refuse the claim? Or should they still be able to proof that the damage caused is due to the water? My charhe port seemed to have failed as it doesnt charge properly anymore.. It doesnt want to charge...
No why? LolDid they use the aircon as an excuse?
Not sure I understandThat only last for a few days. a warranty only last as long as the product last.
You have PMTry small claims court. In any case they have to prove the following:
1. Damage was caused by user negligence or water damage, not the other cause. Search Web for number of similar cases, it can be a typical fault with the same model.
2. Corrosion is caused by water damage indeed, not a human sweat. The later one is considered a normal usage. If human sweat caused corrosion, there is an issue of using proper anti-corrosive materials and painting protection which I don't see on the picture, BTW.
In other words you have many arguments in your case. They count on user ignorancy or busy life style. When you present strong position they will have to eventually re-consider it is worth of trouble or not.
In any case do not lose temper. If you do, you will be not considered a serious opponent.
No why? Lol
No indicators triggered, then corrosion caused by electrolysis is excluded. If present, it would void warranty. It remains a human sweat causing corrosion. It typically doesn't go very deep, just bottom connector area. Pictured area is just a place around a screw with a ground track, no active electronics around which could be exposed to a damage. So I did a bit of research and I found this. On the Note 4 there are 3 water damage indicators what I could find. So am I right to say that if none of these are tripped then how can they tell me it has water damage?
