Vodacom Roaming in Italy

Hi - anybody travel to Italy recently? I'm touring there in 2 weeks and want to take my Blackberry on SMS and data-roaming (using text-based emails, no auto-more, and BBM only, it should be little data). However, when I phoned Vodacom yesterday, they said the only roaming option would be SMS!!

Weird - as their website says data roaming with the "lower" R17/MB on Vodafone?

that doesnt make sense.
Have calls activated and just dont them. you should be OK.

We have to products for roaming. Full roaming (including voice, SMS and data) and then SMS roamer (SMS only, all other services are suspended).
How to activate this option
Data Roaming on Vodafone World is automatically available to Vodacom Contract customers, once the International Roaming service has been activated on their account.

Data Roaming is not currently available to Top Up and Prepaid customers.
