Vodacom set for JSE debut

Thi swould mean the free float is likely to be less than 25% of the number of issued shares if vodafone is to have over 50% and 25% is set aside for BEE. Factor in the pension funds and the free float could less than 15% I reckon. Would do well to hold onto the shares in that event if you can get your hands on them.

Not a problem at all - even without the fixed line business, but still a huge CAPEX non the less.

Please note I am in no way providing expert advice - but rather my own opinion - I believe it would be illegal for me to do that.

BTW - get in touch with me if by some miracle you are able to get hold of BEE shares. Being a white guy makes it damn near impossible to hold them - but there are ways around that too. The majority of BEE deals are only structured to benefit a tiny minority of already priveleged non-white South Africans - they dont serve any purpose for those who could truly benefit. Thats why Telkom's stance on suppliers is absolutely ridiculous.

I take it you a broker.

Nah its cool I been buying quite a bit of shares, MTN, Multichoice, Sasol, Didata Ill just get some from Voda BEE or employee benefits.:)

<imo>As part of Telkodemonopolies selling off its 50% of Vodacom, some of that 50% will go to Vodafone, another portion will go to BEE, and only then will Vodacom be listed on the JSE, so JK8 you would have to invest in one or more BEE companies that buy into Telkodemonopolies' 50% of Vodacom, or wait until the company publicly trades on the JSE - that could be a while.</imo>

ic - unless he is part of a BEE consortium or identified as part of the staff portion of shares, he will have to wait till IPO

no need for economy with words for me. local usage is uncapped and free at the moment.
