My 7 year old son desperately wants a computer that he has no real reason for. He owns a tablet that is getting a bit long in the tooth so I was looking for a replacement choosing between the Galaxy Tab A9, the Redmi Pad Se, or the Blackview Tab 80, which are all in a similar price range. Then I came across the Vodacom Smartbook with these basic specs:

CPU: Qualcomm 7C SC7180, Speed: Up to2.4Ghz, GPU: Qualcomm®Adreno™618, RAM: 4GB, Memory: 128GB eMMc Memory

It comes preloaded with Windows 11. I am not overly familiar with mobile processors, online opinions on the processor are a bit conflicted, so I wanted to ask if anyone has any thoughts on this device. Is it worth looking at? Or should I just stick to one of the tablets?

Here is a similarly specced machine from another manufacturer. The one in the review has 2x the ram though. Can't imagine trying to run windows on 4 GB! It'll probably be slow as hell.

Thanks. I guess I will stick to one of the tablets then.
