Howzit!!

Hope im posting in the right section here...

I'm busy looking into purchasing a apartment in cape town. was informed by the agent that block is maintained by vodacom and mtn as the have transmitters on the building.

This transmitter sits directly outside the bedroom window wall of the apartment, so when sleeping one would be probably 3 to 5 m away from the transmitter.....

Been reading allot of mixed reviews and nobody can really say if its a health risk or not....

Anybody here have any knowledge on this subject??

If its not a health risk, at least I'll have insanely good signal!:D

Vodacom and MTN maintain the block? Lol. They pay rental to the body corporate yes. Maintain a block of flats? No.

And yes you are safe. However should you want to put your mind at ease you can request a full EMF exposure report from EMSS which Vodacom will commission.

The site number is usually written on the door of the equipment container on the roof. The site name will most likely be the name of the block of flats.

Do not let the fearmongers on the internet get to you. Rather use a level headed approach based on scientific fact.

Don't bother with EMF report. Don't buy this apartment. Stay away...

If they can't get permission, they will buy entire block.

And submit a small deposit of R20m
koeksGAT I wonder why society must always focus it's energies on the negative. Surely by focusing our energies on the positive things will be of greater benefit to society in general!

Do you have GPS details? Like Ivanr said that is your best bet. But it will take sometime they need to check if there is a big need for tower there.
