v3g - does this mean we will finally get rid of the dropped calls when the phone switches between 2g and 3g? Also the "straight to voicemail" problem that occurs?

Could well be. Handover between 2G and 3G is already difficult and when it's inter-vendor it can only add complexity.

But we've also seen a number of handsets that battle with handover. My TyTN was very fond of doing this.

Vodas towers are looking rather "ugly" these days, Ive been noticing them alot lately and they so crowded and is a real eye sore.

Is it the new hardware? I think they need to bring back the Palm tree camouflage asap.
