I don't think you're going to be able to download WAP settings for an Australian device from Vodacom's network, but you can try the *111# USSD menu.

It would be more useful to know what settings your phone is expecting, from there we can help.

Username & password should both be left blank.
APN should be internet.

Go into your WAP Settings, and post here all the fields you see, then i'll fill in the blanks and see if it works

[EDIT]: Also make sure your SIM has been provision for Data.

Connects to: "The Internet" (drop down box, also can choose WAP Gateway, WAP Network, Work, Secure Wap Network)
Accesspoint:
Username:
Password:
Athentication Type: None
Primary DNS:
Secondary DNS:
IP Address:

Then under proxy:
Connects from: The internet (drop down box, can also be same as above)
Connects to: WAP Network ( drop down box, can also be same as above)
Proxy:
Type:
User Name:
Password:
