Vodacom Website Time Outs

Hi,

maybe not strictly 3G...

but I get regular problems that the Vodacom /Vodacom4me website times out when I try to access it via ADSL.

I'm using it for my diary, so it is a bit of a nuisance.

I often get that too. I'm on dial up.

Recently the Vodacom site has been very unstable.

My browser reported that there are 66 images to be downloaded for

http://www.vodacom4me.co.za/servlet/myhomepage

I guess that chokes the Telkom transparent web proxies as well as many ADSL NAT routers

Has anybody ever tried this page recently with a normal 56k dial-up?

Just tried it. Loaded fine today.

I've also experienced it from work (on a Diginet leased line). I think it could be that the site is just very busy. Vodacom's websms is brilliant.
In the evenings or early mornings (before 7 am) it always loads fine for me.

I don't think its our lines, I get it all over from home,work and even at campus. I think there are just to maby users logging on to vodacom4me at a given time, esp during the day!

You can actually feel that the site has gotten slower.
