Vodacom3g, it's probably not something you can suggest to Vodacom, but if they could make it easier to find the various rates for call time etc ?

I want to give some info to an international visitor who I will be meeting and they need to know these things. I'm English speaking and I can't find tarrifs or call rates on the vodacom website very easily.

Imagine if your on business from overseas and want to choose a temporary mobile network ?

IOW, put your prices/link to your rates on the front page for everyone to see. That's what people want and what they expect.

Hmm, unless vodacom is too embarrassed to post the truth ! - Lets rather hide it behind silly photos of models smiling, while holding models.

I find the prices very easy to find with the DHTML menus, clicking on Packages you are given the option to select what plan etc ..

For example for intl. visitors only the prepaid plans would apply and you can see the prices with 2 clicks from the homepage, I have seen a lot worse sites.

For roaming people from overseas their provider would give them the roaming rates.

Oh and a tip for your international visitors: !

I found prepaid starter packages at CHECKERS in Canal Walk almost for free, like under 10 Rand!

So cheap I even forgot the exact price now, something liike 7.95 Rand, someone correct me if it's wrong.

The MTN starter packs for 5 Rand or so!

They are located at the checkout next to chocolates and such and you can look through what number you like best, too :)

goodgirl - I want overall minutes/prices on things like pay as you go - which I can't find anywhere on the cell companies site - I'm sure it's there, but I just cannot find it.

I want the cold hard facts on the HOME page of a cellphone service provider, just certain packages with the option to dig down to ALL of the available packages. I want to see how Vodacom compares with MTN compares with CellC

If just ONE of the cell companies had the guts to just put their prices WHAP on the home page of their website, I choose them just because they had the BALLS to do it !

Nuff Sed.

It's actually quite tricky to find rates on any operator's website [T-Mobile/Orange/Vodafone]. So not really a south african specific 'problem' i'd say.

When you are on http://www.vodacom.co.za/

and you click on "Packages - Prepaid Packages" and then on "Vodago Standard" you get the prices per minute for this prepaid option.

Is this what you were looking for?
