I saw on the Vodacom website they are also offering a wifi service. Has anyone used this yet?

What's it like? It seems as if you can buy bundles using your cellphone and then connect to thousands of hotspots around the world...

Been using it for quite a while and it seems all OK.

Had no problem installing the software, registering and buying bundles.

I think this service will work especially well for those who travel a lot. The Wireless-G pricing off shore is much better than what you pay at hotels, etc.

And obviously for those who don't have a data card but a laptop with built-in WiFi.

Lets just hope for the sake of the ISM band they keep it to hotspots and dont go citywide.

Coverage? Can i use this on my mobile phone which has wi-fi? if so how?

the site says "Anybody with a Wi-Fi enabled laptop can use Wi-Fi, but it's especially indispensable for business people on the move." Do they know that mobile phones have wi-fi? psp anyone....

My bad, I was thinking of WiMax. Isnt Vodacom working on a Wimax product as well? WiMax would be brilliant as Vodacom as so many basestations, adding a WiMax bit prob wont be that difficult, would it?
