Vodacom shut down its headquarters and Vodacom World mall this morning ahead of protest action around the Please Call Me debacle.

Most Vodacom staff were told to stay at home today, while the few staff members at the office had entered from a side gate.

It’s obviously being bankrolled judging by the lovely new banners and I’d imagine rent a crowd are also being paid. And the really annoying thing is that the mastermind behind it knows how easy it is to pull the race card and get away with it in South Africa.
