Vodacom's new data usage notifications

So Vodacom have now decided to do away with telling us how much data we got left and are starting to send out these alarmist notifications,
The data bundle on 082xxxxxxx is about to run out. This when only 50% of the bundle has been used, why don't they show the remaining bundle in the SMS?

They also changed the reply from *111*500#. Now it only shows your data bundle, not your airtime. It seems they are deliberately trying to make everything more difficult than it should be.

I do now have another problem unfortunately, every time I use that, VC sends me an sms saying I don't have an active MMS bundle.
