Vodacom's big 5G plans — including a R11 billion network investment

Vodacom plans to spend at least R11 billion this year to enhance its network infrastructure, including providing 5G coverage to more parts of the country.

It currently has 5G network coverage in all of South Africa's provinces, and the allocation of the new spectrum will help it to densify its 5G services.

I have big expectations for the performance of Vodacom 5G with the big chunk of 2600MHz and then 700MHz for wide coverage. My only worry is that the internal culture has shifted to not care as much about running the "best" network, vs say MTN.

Let's be very conservative with some estimates: Let's say it lasts 10 seconds down and 10 seconds up, and you get 100Mbit in both directions.
That's 12,5MB per second, so 12,5x20s = 250MB
Out of bundle is something like 49c i think? That speedtest might cost you R122,50, unless I'm missing something .

And 1gb = R85 to R110 on payg for 30 days.
So R17 to R22 per test if your internet connection is only at 100Mbit

Okay so Vodacom plan to CA n7 & n78 to offer high speed
Question is because "Neotel" n78 is only live where they have coverage how will this affect Vodacom 5G performance or the roaming deal is just front Vodacom can deploy Neotel n78 to any tower
Yes I know Vodacom has 10mhz in n78 but I strongly think Vodacom target Neotel 50mhz in n78
That's 60+MHz in n78 and 80mhz in n7
