Vodacom's Weekend Contract

So I have a Weekender Everyday with the 120 off peak minutes.


So on the 31 March my minutes were all gone already and I made a phone call at around 10pm for several minutes. So I thought Vodacom will either bill me for that call in my march account or I will use my April minutes if I'm lucky.

But what's weird is that my minutes only reflected after 12am that evening, but they charged me for that call on my April account.

My Q: How can my April contract start on the 31st at 10pm, but my free mins only 2 hours later??

Vodacoms bill run only starts on the 3rd of every month.
But you get your free minutes on the 1st of every month.

What I've seen is the "update sms" you get starts on the 3rd. In vodacom4me, my April bill has started from the 31st of March around 10pm.
