Vodafone B2000 LTE Router SMA connections

Hi

I want to upgrade to the Vodafone B2000 LTE Router.

I am in a rural area so I would use the SMA antenna connection for attaching to my external antenna which is on a mast.

I read that the Vodafone B2000 LTE Router has 2 SMA connections, and I need to be able to also send the WiFi signal down to my house which is 30m away from my office.

Does the other SMA external connection on the router enable one to send the WiFi signal out? IE is the one SMA connection for incoming and the other one for outgoing?

The two SMA connectors are for the LTE external antennas. LTE requires the use of both SMA connectors if coupled to external antennas. If you are using the internal system then the LTE will utilise internal setup. This router is also known as Huawei B593_u12

1) Where I am I can't get LTE anyway, and I would only be connecting on HSDPA. So would I just use 1 of the SMA connectors, as I currently do with my Vodafone B970 router?

2) And in that case, is the other SMA connector redundant for me?

3) I currently have a CAT5 cable connected from the B970 router to a D-Link Wireless Access Point that sends the WiFi signal down to the house (because the Wireless Access Point has an external SMA antenna), so would I have to continue with this setup do you think?

Yes. You should be able to determine from the signal strength displayed in the router's web interface which SMA connector to use (the signal strength is usually only measured from one of the anntena connectors).
2) And in that case, is the other SMA connector redundant for me?
If the modem in the B2000 router is like the current standalone HSPA+/LTE modems, then you can take advantage of DC-HSPA and MIMO by using a broadband splitter to connect both SMA connectors to a single external antenna.

I would guess so.
 
Does anyone know how much the Vodafone B2000 goes for as I want to sell mine.
