Vodafone E272 Freez up.

Hi All,

My E272 Freezes up.
It happened twice so far as I'm writing.
It shows connected, but cant browse.

What seems to be problem.

This is the last part of the error message.
Support information:
RAS error code 631

631 - The port was disconnected by the user.

This error can occur if

power or the cable to an external modem is removed during the connection process

if the user cancels the dial/connection attempt prematurely

So it looks like the modem is disconnecting somehow.

I'd check:

1) BIOS
2) USB drivers
3) OS patches (Service Packs)
4) VMC version.

But first disable auto-run on the device (search here for details).

I think I have the same problem here. I have tha latest bios on my PC, the newest USB drivers, winxp sp3, and 3.2.2.201 vmclite, but it does it wothout vmclite too.

Any idea?

I also have the latest Bios installed, Win-XP with SP3 installed.
What I have done , disabled Power Managment for that specific USB port.
Have to check this out. My VMClite is version 9.3.0.8940.

I see that E272 use 500ma on that specific port.
