Hi All!! Thinking of purchasing the Vodafone K3565-Z Usb Modem, but not sure if i should. If anyone has one and is enjoying it (OR NOT) please let me know if I should buy it.

Urgently awaiting your replies!!!:D

The price of the modems are already/soon will bew around R499 or R699. make sure you don't pay over a thousand for them.
The brand doesn't really matter, you can get a 1990 conquest or 2010 Lexus LS600 or whatever, same brand but way different quality.

hauwi k3565 is a good modem better than E220. its a good buy. prices varies but you can get it for R1200 and under just have to shop around. some shops have second hand work good as well

Vodaphone shop S/Mall is selling a 3.6 usb modem for R549 and Nivo sells the K3565 also 3.6 but with firmware upgrade 7.2 for R649. Which one is the best buy? This is to use mainly on travel in countryside locations where the high speed will probably not be there soon...

take the 7.2

Vodashop at the Waterfront in Cape Town has?

I went to Vodashop in Centurion again yesterday, the Vodofone K4505 was in stock, I bought it for R1700 and I am now using it to connect to the internet. According to speed test, my connection is very slow, I am doing (on average) 1Mbps download speed. I am using an old slow pc, maybe that has something to do with the net connection speed? My pc has 650MB worth of RAM and it is an Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz.

Currently we are selling two modems....the K3565 (we are selling the Huawei version only) and then the K4505 (ZTE available only)

If speed is a big thing for you then the K4505 might be the better choice (remember, Vodacom can not guarantee the speeds that you will achieve due to many factors coming into play)
If price is the big thing for you, then go for the K3565 as they are way cheaper and just as reliable. The are also available in white and blue colours. Very funky :-)

Weve only been able to get the red one in stock hmmmm

I ordered a blue one for one of my clients last week and got it. You will see the stock code on online SOP. I think it is VHK3565B

Have a look...it should be there.

I have had the same modem for 3 years or so.

I don't achieve anything near the 3.6 (I did at one stage though) and the network has just got worse over the months. The *only* reason I'd contemplate an upgrade is HSUPA.

Are both those modems HSUPA too?
