Vodafone router connected but no internet(telkom sim)

I have a Vodafone R218h router and have a telkom lte sim card that I got through Vox. It's connected but no internet access. The sim card works in my cellphone.

You will probably have to update the APN settings manually in the Vodafone router settings.

May need the SIM pin to be entered. Not sure if Telkom has such. I think the default for MTN is 00000 or 0000.

Had the same issue so I'm gonna answer for anyone else who might encounter in the future. You must do the following: Log into your router, click on connection, which is on the mobile broadband tab, on account type choose "custom", on APN field type "Internet" and then save and restart... Now you should be set to use any network sim you choose

Which LTE special.

If it is not fixed LTE-A, then it should work, and if it does not, the change the APN to whatever APN is allocated to the SIM card. Then it will work.

The Afrihosts R49 deal for 5GB's

I also thought it would work and then edit the APN but Afri says it doesn't work - so either it does or he is lying.

He may well just be ignorant of the solution, he need not be lying.

Not familiar with that package tho.

Fixed LTE on MTN/Afrihost require a CAT6 or above router. Any other package or SIM should work on any router unless its network locked.

PS, fixed LTE cant be moved to a different location without calling MTN to reset it.
