I go through phones quickly and have resigned myself now, to use these lower range type phones, I have purchased now, the Vodafone Smart 4 mini, but would like to purchase the Smart 4 as well, and use the Smart 4 mini as a back up, with all my contacts loaded and synced

The Smart 4 mini £50.00 - R899.00

Th smart 4 Mini is availible in SA whoever the

Smart 4 £75 should work out to R1350.00

Its a 4.5" display, running 4.4 kit kat

Does anyone have details on this phone and whether vodacom will be bringing it out. Looks like a really good deal.

I think thats a big oversight, the Smart 4 at R1350 - R1399 would've blew its competition at the water in this kind of lower-midrange Market where people want to be a decent little phone cash.

Competition:
Mobicel Murcury R1049.00 (4.0")
LG L40 R 1299 (3.5")
Nokia Asha 302 R1199.00
Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330

Its only real competion would be

HUAWEI ASCEND Y511 R 1499
Also a 4.5" display, running Jellybean

The Smart 4 at that R1350.00, 4.5" display running Kit Kat, would a absolute knockout at the price, It has great build quality has well.
The other alternatives are, A couple of low res, 3.5" Samsungs at the R1300 - R1600 price range.

EDIT: An Article on the high cost of the Smart 4 Power
http://www.engadget.com/2014/07/24/vodafone-own-brand-4g-smartphones/

Its going to come in at R3150.00 at east, which is a whole different market. Still has the same 5mp, camera, although, at has a 5" dsiplay and higher PPI, wont be worth it.

EDIT 2: How do you know Vodacom is bringnig in the Smart 4 Power and not the Smart 4
