It was great to see that Vodacom is offering free e-mail to MyMeg500+ subscribers, but after getting it activated (took a l---o---n---g hold at the call centre to get this done!), I'm rather dissappointed. It seems very slow, the web interface is patchy at best (displays a blank screen where there should be the contents of an e-mail); and POP3/IMAP seems erratic. What has your experience been?

Your'e lucky to atleast have your email account activated. Mine was supposedly automatically done for me when I signed up to 3G but alas it doesnt work. Whenever I click on the email link I get a message saying that Im "not subscribed to the service".
I phoned the support up and up till today almost a month later Im still waiting for some positive feedback. One thing I cant do is complain about vodacom3g's help on this site. They really do try their best.

Won't you PM me all your contact details, phones numbers, etc. and I'll pass it on for resolution?

Won't you check if it's working now?

For some reason you're call got closed, so you would have waited for a long time....

Hopefully you can now mail away. Enjoy :)

Anyone tell me why I can't access vodamail from Outlook when I can from Vodacom4me? Set up in the usual way in Outlook but system constantly presents me with dialog box for pop3.vodamail.co.za with my datacard number and password from Vodacom4me. When I confirm I go into a loop always returning to the dialog box.

Try using 2782xxxxx as your username not 082xxxxx seemed to sort mine out.
