Morning,
My phone has sending all my calls to voicemail because of the network in the building..Understandable but I've noticed that after 20 voicemails, the mail box resets and all the other messages are deleted :erm:
Is there a way around this? Can't get to my voicemails while I'm in the office so by the time I get home, they were gone yesterday.

Can anyone provide some clarity?

There's a voicemail to SMS service I use which is really cool. It translates your voicemail messages to text and delivers them via SMS.

The cool thing is that it inserts the originating person's cell number into the 'from' field, so you can directly reply on SMS.

This is very handy if you sit in a meeting and you get a call you can't take.

@ Jannie Yes I have used that service but still prefer to close the voicemail box to receive SMS messages if not able to answer a call, the caller being informed as such. I have requested this type of service from Vodacom over many years - still waiting.

Okay let me use an example of what I would like to see in a "voice2sms" service. When all line diverts have been cancelled the caller receives a friendly announcement stating " The number you have called is not available please send a detailed SMS or try calling later". The present one states "The number you have called is not available now"
Hope this is understood.

There is another option of having a 40 message limit mailbox, on Mailbox plus (Voicemail Plus). Voicemail messages are then also forwarded to any e-mail you specify. This is a subscription service at R20 per month.
