Hi folks,

In preparation for my fibre install next week, I'm looking at a VOIP solution for home to replace my Telkom landline. I'm probably going to go with Vox R25 pm, 0.41c per minute all networks.

Any case, that is not the point of this post. I'd need to get a VOIP DECT handset and I see the two brands most prominent are Yealink and Siemans Gigaset.

So where can I purchase a handset (besides Takealot)? Please refer to the sites where you actually saw these handsets. Of course looking for the best price. :)

Thanks

I can still get good pricing on Grandstream

PM me if needed
What I did find out was that we get ripped off on decent cordless handsets in SA.

When I was in the UK, the pricing for Siemens there is almost half what we pay here. And the selection is much better

Do not touch Gigaset or Grandstream. Sorry but they are crap products. Tried them and wanted to throw them out the window within 15 min.

There is only one brand to consider and thats Yealink.. The Yealink W52P is excellent with great range and a good battery life. I will not use any other DECT phones at my clients. I have deployed dozens of these phones along with hundreds of Yealink T21P and T23G deskphones.

PM me if you want a Yealink.

Yup also use Yealinks, deployed close to a 1000 of them. Also W52, W56, and 21P's.

Rock solid and great to auto provision.

I havent tried the W56 yet, what are they like - compared to the W52?
They are quite a bit bigger, nicer screen and a better in built antenna than the 52s.

Also just ordered the new T40g, not that much more than the T21 but has gigabit ethernet which is great if you are daisy chaining it to a pc.

Yeah, we are also starting to sell the T40G, except where clients already have the T21 or the T23 (for uniformity sake).
