Volkswagen quality issues.

Shouldn't affect the car .I drove all my cars to their potential off the showroom floor and never had a problem (I have a warranty for a reason).
Maybe he jus had bad luck but both of them are potentially in the wrong (Him not checking the oil and them not filling up car according to specification )

Well I don't know about your car but generally gearbox oil isn't something the driver checks...

There is a difference between driving a car hard though and not being able to drive properly and doing so in utter ignorance. That will definitely hurt a motor.

Although there is always the chance of it simply being a very unfortunate lemon.

A friend who worked in admin at a dealership used to do the pdi checks. Said that even the technicians that did do it basically took the car for a joy ride and ticked the sheet. What a joke dealerships are.

That darn DELIVERY FEE you pay when purchasing a new vehicle....
Your vehicle is transported with half filled fluids. When at the stealerships they do an inspection and top up all fluids so maybe the monkey checking your buds vehicle did half a job...

DELIVERY FEE my a*&e yeah...........
