Hi guys,

Since I import quite a bit of stuff from the USA (understatement) I sometimes need to do some 'voltage work' on some products. I use step-down transformers, but sometimes this doesnt look so great, so I would prefer some sort of internal modifications to the products.

I have a Denon amp from the USA which requires 110v, so I use the usual stepdown transformer.

Does anybody know somebody/some place where I can get these items modified to support the 220v here in SA?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

Take a look at Communica electronics (www.communica.co.za). They could be able to help you with parts. Not sure about the actual modifications though.

Are you a electronic engineer?

If no, then stick with the transformer.

Hahahaha,

Thanks...but if there is an electrical engineer who is willing to do this, and charge me...I am willing to do it!

I am a computer engineer (same as electronic engineer, just with computer-hardware+software skills) and there's no way in hell I do this.... isn't really in our field. This is more a technician area...

Just called them - no luck ;(

They gave me the number of a guy...lets see what happens!
