Anyone going to this?

It's a 3 day new years eve festival from the 31st December 2008 to 2nd January 2009.

I was invited by a friend and have always been keen to goto "Vortex" but never went.

I asked GF and she seems keen.
3 days of camping and such... mmmm... dunno.

It's like R280 pre-sale or R320 at the door.

Been going to vortex since 2000. Unfortunately alot has changed about it, there are way more problems now since theyve commercialised it. Crime and disrespect being the ultimate issues for me. These parties are now riddled with idiots who think they are better than every1 else and as such can do what they want despite everyone else. The commercialisation of the party has brought in way too many chemical dealers who are screwing up the vibe and dont forget the people who take them. Vortex used to be a place of peace, love, unity and respect and it seems now its just an all out "lets goto vortex and get f*ked up" kinda party now.

I stopped showing support about 2 years ago, although i have been 2 one since. I vowed to never go again. The producers and organises of this party have opted for the money route, and unfortunately thats the way all good things go.

Maybe if you arent me you wont notice the problems as many friends currently tell me its awesome, i struggle to enjoy it like i used to back in 2000 and 2001.

So ya i do recommend going if youve never been, its an experience. I used to do trance parties almost every weekend for 6 years, took me across the country as well. Best time of my life. Now ill stick to the small parties on private estates of say 500 peeps.
2 many people means to many problems in my opinion.
I will always love the music though...

I've never gone, I can't comment and I believe in "Don't know it till you've tried it" but the drug thing, yes, many of the people I know do take 'stuff'

I've just never been and I'm keen to go and 'try it' but for 3 days... I dunno...

What do I take ? (not drugs, other stuff)
