VOTE: Durban Road Name Changes!

All I can say is that people are lucky that I dont get to name roads and stuff.. If I could, there would be people living on Turd Road, Street Road Avenue, The Road, The Road that runds next to that Other Road.. etc etc.. these are some of the road names I would use to make people get horribly lost!!

You get 1st, 2nd, 3rd ...16th Avenues in Rosebank, Pakhurst, Linden, Craigall etc. How on earth are you suppose to know which 1st Avenue you are on? That must be one of the dumbest naming methods (second to the one proposed for DBN. I mean how do you name a tennis court after a boxer? )

What is even worst they cross with 1st, 2nd ,3rd Street.

On the corner of 2nd Ave and 3rd Street.

apartheid named the streets hf verwoed, df malan john voster etc. and the current gvt is renaming the streets to nelson mandela, walter sisulu, adelaide tambo etc. don't they realise how stupid this whole thing has become?
should the ifp win back the province of kzn, they will have to rename the streets to mangosuthu buthelezi, frank mdlalose, samuel shabalala etc. why maar badlala ngathi so...?

In 1994, when the accident occurred, Ndebele said "it was obvious" that his son was not wearing a seat belt.

"It is pointless naming the avenue after someone who played no part in the struggle of the country. Most people have never heard of half the people whom our roads and streets are being named after," she said.

Cant seem to find anything online but there's an article in one of the morning papers about Adams Rd in Toti changing to Khoto Mkhunya. Apparently that dude was involved with a bombing in that area?

I think you got it mixed up. They are renaming Kingsway Road to a guy who bombed a buliding in Pinetown many years ago
