Vote, or keep quiet

Congratulations to all the misguided fools who really believe that their vote is going to halt SA's slide down the slope to destruction. The only thing you accomplish by casting your vote, is to legitimise our "democratic" one-party state in the eyes of the world - and the only party that benefits from that legitimacy is the ANC.

So when you're registering and casting your vote, remember this: any vote you cast is, effectively, a vote for the ANC.

What are you still doing in SA?

I dont agree with the notion that people should "vote or keep quiet". Whether you vote or not, your still entitled to some rights and you can complain. However, if you feel strongly about issues, such as the bad management of your local or national govt you have to be stupid to pass up the opportunity of placing your mark next to someone other than the moron who is currently in charge. This act alone is strangely Carthartic. It feels really good when you walk away from the polling knowing that the slime ball has 1 less vote today.

Did it hurt, or have you been like this since birth?

Doing my bit, called a bunch of friends, cousins and neighbors and reminded them to heed the registration call. Great feedback so far, go out and vote, you owe your country that much IMO.

yeh, basically if you have voted before then you registered, easy enough to check and confirm online

Tsk. Such a defeatist attitude. Every vote counts, regardless of what you may think.

I am indeed going to vote against the ANC, if this country wasn't run by such a bunch of incompetent twats, as in was being run properly etc., I probably wouldn't bother then.

Indeed. I am ashamed to say that I used to be one of those people that would go "ag, what difference will my one vote make anyway"....well, screw that! I am gonna vote and who knows...I might just draw a f you sign next to the ANC logo on my ballot! lol hehehehe.

I just hope I am not the only one that have woken up and who will be voting. It is time that we take the country back from the ANC and put our beloved country in the hands of a capable administration. Yes, this might only be local elections...but it is still very important...some say even more important than the nationals....but the more ground the ANC loses in the locals, the stronger the foothold for the DA!

Sheesh...I am sounding like a political activist! lol. Will stay quiet now. :-)

Do you have to register again if you've already voted in the previous election
