Vottle Electronics - Scam or Valid Site?

That area of bloem is by the "4 chimneys" and really close to the railways, quite a dodgy looking place where one wouldn't want to walk in the streets (you can see if on google street maps). I have never heard of Vottle Electronics before though.

Thanks, there is no way Apple products will be so cheap. Also apparently the owner sounds like a Nigerian!!!!!!! That alone makes me suspicious.

Look at the prices...product sold way below retail value? Scam.

Don't even bother. This place does not exist it's a big Nigerian scam!! I was looking for a computer and sent a friend to Bloemfontein to check and this place is non existent.

Also in their ToS:

You agree that jurisdiction over and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to this site (including but not limited to the purchase of Vottle Electronics products) shall be in the state or federal courts located in South Africa

riiight...

This is definitely a scam. After creating a order, they send you a email saying that they will send you their banking details soon. I suspect that they wait until they have a lot of pending orders and then send out the banking details, collect the money and disappear. DDos only brings it down for a while, but it might give them the idea that someone is on to them. Is there no place to report this?

Perhaps MYBB can do something about it!!!!!!

It's not local based, what would be interesting to know is how your friend even got to that site.
The best thing one can do is promote the real dealers like takealot, kalahari, wootware etc to only name a few.
Or the likes of http://www.pricecheck.co.za/ and only buy from trusted dealers.

Only place I can think of reporting this is to the domain hoster. Which is here : http://www.enom.com/help/abusepolicy.aspx

They don't allow catalogue websites to be trusted dealers, Vottle is a checkout website though... Best report them to their host and possible vendors being associated with their products.
