Vox - blocked protocols

It's the reason I switched from VOX. Party chat was a mess and multiplayer in certain games were hit and miss.

They did try to sort it out for me, trying to replicate the errors on their side but never really got anywhere. It's a shame because everything else worked 100%.

Sniper Elite 3 wasn't even hit and miss ; it was dead 10 of 10 attempts and wouldn't join a lobby and after trying, just display 'disconnected'. To my nontechnical self, it really seems that certain protocols are being blocked/throttled.

Add Periscope to the list of things blocked by Vox.

If I switch Wi-Fi off and use the phone's mobile connection, it loads correctly without fail.

Why isn't Voxy commenting on these issues? I know it isn't the Official VOX thread, but it is related to VOX. The problem with the official thread is posts get lost in the masses, and even there he replies on very few issues!

They might actually be working on it, or there is a glitch in their system today.

This morning all the gripes I had with them seem to have disappeared.

WhatsApp attachments are downloading for the first time ever.

LOL! Monday my wife told me ShowMax is working flawlessly. I thought good, Vox finally sorted it out. Then the backup AH cap ran out...

So today I'm sure I am logged into the Vox account and the 'previously-blocked' protocols seem to be working.

For the first time ever WhatsApp and Periscope are doing their thing without fighting me.

Anyone else seeing this?

same here, but i am on 1gb lite + bolt on. maybe handled differently than fat-pipe?

I have not experienced these issues either. I'm on the 150GB Fat Pipe as of sometime of the middle of last year. The other half and I are permanently on Wifi with our phones and we'd both notice issues regarding the sending or receiving of Whatsapp attachments. The kid regularly downloads new games on his tablet through the app store.

I will say that well seeded torrents don't perform as well as I would expect them to.

Yup - tried it as well.

2 of 2 tries Whatsapp Photos sent
2 of 3 tries PS4 online gaming working
2 of 3 tries Android Speedtest working

None of these used to go through, ever, so they have done something. Pity tomorrow is my last day though.

Is Vox still giving issues? Moving at the end of the month so we are looking at changing ISPs, Still want a 4mbs Uncapped.

As mentioned, they did try assist with the technical issues but we got no where.

Can't really comment as none of these issues in this thread have ever affected me on Vox.

I never had issues with the speed - it either worked full speed or nothing.

I'd either get 2,000kb/sec on a download ; or nothing / blocked. WhatSapp, Speedtest and a few others were dead.
