Hello, sorry of this was asked before.

Does the Bolt on option give you full line speed uncapped? Ie a 40Mbps line.

( I read long ago it doesn't, but trying to find it on the website now and I can't see any mention of it not allowing full speed.)

Nope rate limited to 10Mbs unless it changed in the past 3 weeks. I too cant find any info on the website but from using it I know it was.

Massive confusion here, spoke to the sales human on the phone just now.

He said there are no speed limits and it is subject to your line speed?

Its 10Mbps max i have a 20Mbps line and the bolt-on goes at 10 sometimes it will download at 1200-1500Kbps

Mmmm, I know Vox has the worst support in SA, but will they really lie? I am really tempted to opt in for the bolt on, the sales people say I will get line speed (40Mbps) and my common sense and the forum people say I will get 10Mbps...

I hate this Vox place all a sudden

Use to max out your line but seems people abused it so it was then capped to 10mb speeds.

10Mbps max. I have bolt-on and 20Mbps line. I will get full speed for like 10 seconds and then it will drop to 10Mbps.

This fcking sucks, anything I can do to "revenge" the sales guy's lies?

Still a pretty good deal though, even better if you are running Pfsense.

Probably true, just feel vindictive being lied to

I doubt you were being lied to when they said that, as you can't really call it a lie when they don't know what they're saying :p

It's kinda like Telkom telling me there's no night surfer on their new fiber softcap products, and telling others that there is :wtf: left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I hate them for lying to me.

Thanks everyone for confirming.

I asked them very nicely when I left to just update their website to mention the fact that bolt on is limited to 10 Mbps, so I see they still haven't. The only mention of it is in one obscure line of the terms and conditions.
