Vox.co.za: Anyone using it?

Vox have really improved their customer service.

So it's by far the best number to have as an incoming call number. DONT EXPECT IT TO RING ANYTIME SOON !! WHAT A RIP OFF. R1.07 TO CALL IT.... If you are called for at least 60 minutes per day, 25 days a month, that equates to R300 in your pocket, AND OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES POCKETS!!! monthly.

No doubt you are a Vox dealer.

Vox works great!

.............and a Javelin through the temple works well to deter, if you find yourself in a hijack situation, (please consider the paperwork before attempting this) but a bullet works even better.

So whats your point?

Considering where this discussion is, you can only be another dealer with little else to say, so waste our time with a cheap punt.

Ill finish your statement for your and make a proper sentence out of it:

Vox works great, it enables you to pull a rebate, at the cost of the incoming caller, when they call your Vox 087 number.

I sell Telkom Business Products, and the latest pricing I have from Telkom for calling to Cell Phones is R1,89 per minute effective billing. That makes Vox 30c cheaper...

Plus, when it comes to business... we don't even consider call more time... as most businesses don't wait till 7pm to make their calls...

"Yes and there are a thousand "companies and dealers" selling Cellular LCR for the back of the PABX, this started 12 years ago. All good stuff. If Vox were worth their salt as an LCR company, then they would be advising these same companies block calls to 087 until a better route is defined, or that interconnection is reviewed, but they dont and wont as they make fat margins on these interconnection fees............So they promote savings to the client on one hand, but throw their principle out the window on the other............You cant have your bread buttered on both sides.

I don't recall Vodacom and MTN telling companies to block calls to 082 and 083? It doesn't make business sense to tell other companies to stop calling your customers...?

Secondly, back then the interconnect between mobile providers was the same as between telkom and another. It was only when Cell-C came into the picture that the interconnect fees were hiked by Vodacom and MTN.

Shortly after that Icasa stepped in to control interconnect fees. These fees are now governed by Icasa and not the various networks... It is also to be noted that since VOX get's such high interconnect fees, they give a portion to their customer, as a thank you for receiving a call.

Lastly, Vox do have a LCR option for companies who have their own PBX and don't wish to change to the VOX system. It's called a VoIP package...

This VoIP Package usually comprises of a Quintum VoIP Multipath Switch/Gateway which connects to a traditional PABX (no need to replace the PABX) and routes the calls over IP - it is also connected to your current Telkom lines - thus you have a fail over in the instance of an IP failure and you can route tollfree calls to Telkom.
