"We’re excited to inform you of our partnership with TruthTV: your wholesome, morally grounded, proudly South African Christian streaming service. Imagine a platform that combines values, storytelling and content that inspires better being. Well, that's exactly what you'll find when you subscribe to TruthTV.

While normally available from only R129pm, as a valued Vox customer, you can enjoy the first two months free of charge by signing up here."

I generally prefer my ISPs to be agnostic ... rather than punting their belief systems on their subscribers.

Especially when promoting wholesome, morally grounded content for children such as the below ;-)

"Insight and understanding combine as our CEO, Jacques Du Toit, interviews our guest and founder of Truth TV, Dr Michael Mol. From his views on viewing to culture and society, we’re excited to bring you a dose of Truth! "

Why? Did they touch you wrong?

It's obviously a service they signed up for. If you're an agnostic yourself, would you have posted if they'd allowed a sign-up for some agnostic service at R129/month?

Vox is now allied with who gives a ****.

Or maybe this is just a way for Vox to make some money and nothing more than a business deal..

I think it's pretty tacky of Vox, to be honest.
I mean, if looking for an add-on service to offer, why in the nether hells choose a nichey Xtian offering?
I've been happy with their service so far, but I'm turned-off enough by this whacko stunt to start looking for an alternative ISP.

I don't get the upset? It's an opt-in service, you aren't being forced to partake.

I'm not Christian, but a large part of the country is, so this seems like a decent idea to me. Not sure what there is to be upset about, other than maybe people just having an issue with religion or Christianity. But even then, this doesn't affect you in any way. Hell, if they didn't advertise it you wouldn't even know they had partnered with a Christian service, you'd just be scrolling the Pronz while Jesus watches you.

I find Christianity incredibly harmful to people.
Yes, I have an issue with it, and also with the blithe mind set which seems to think Christianity is not as grubby as, say, violent pornography.
But yes- the more I think about it, the more I'm minded to cut the bible-thumpers loose from my bank account.

Okay so for you there's a serious, personal objection to it. Fair enough.

Don't really have an issue with this if the marketing it targeted specifically to somebody already using such "services".

Just hope they don't start trying to pray issues away. Thoughts and prayers be with your fibre.
