Vox is now Christian

Don't really have an issue with this if the marketing it targeted specifically to somebody already using such "services".

Just hope they don't start trying to pray issues away. Thoughts and prayers be with your fibre.
They blanket marketed it to everybody on their subscriber list.
Hindu, Muslim, Agnostic, Atheist...as I say, very tacky of them.

That is tacky, those bloody devious Christians!

Generally big businesses try stay out even appearing to have any affiliation with a particular religion, for good reason, you don't want to potentially alienate part of your clientele .

If you were Muslim and you received that email or vice versa you were Christian and it was promoting a Muslim streaming channel you'd no doubt be a little perturbed, wtf is my service provider doing punting religion

Vox is excited with their Christian affiliation and they believe it's wholesome and morally grounded..... That isn't a dry corporate punt, someone at Vox is Christian and wants to save the world

"We’re excited to inform you of our partnership with TruthTV: your wholesome, morally grounded, proudly South African Christian streaming service. Imagine a platform that combines values, storytelling and content that inspires better being. Well, that's exactly what you'll find when you subscribe to TruthTV.

While normally available from only R129pm, as a valued Vox customer, you can enjoy the first two months free of charge by signing up here."

I generally prefer my ISPs to be agnostic ... rather than punting their belief systems on their subscribers.

Especially when promoting wholesome, morally grounded content for children such as the below ;-)

LFG: Viking (way of the axe) raid on VOX?

i hope there is hot chicks with hot viking tits and hair

You referring to the fact that OP posted it here? I.e. free marketing?
No...he prefers his ISP as being agnostic. So my question...well, it's self-explanatory. If they advertised an agnostic channel for R129/month...would he then post about that?
Simple really...

I find Christianity incredibly harmful to people.
Yes, I have an issue with it, and also with the blithe mind set which seems to think Christianity is not as grubby as, say, violent pornography.
But yes- the more I think about it, the more I'm minded to cut the bible-thumpers loose from my bank account.
Lol too funny.

Well exactly.
"We're excited to inform you of our partnership with Jihad TV.."

How does that sound, Christians?

So it's ok if Christians, Muslims, etc have to look at pride flags every day for an entire month when every company ever virtue signal every year? That's not tacky?

I believe companies should just stay out of politics and religion altogether. Period. You will always offend someone somewhere.

The rest of us have to look at Easter and Christmas decorations for months on end if we just want to buy groceries.
We don't have much of a choice there, but I do have a choice about which ISP I pay monthly.
Vox is starting to look like it's not the one.

LOL The easter bunny and Santa is not religious at all. it's businesses making money from you.

Definitely a bad move most people on the internet are angry atheists with no real life friends and daddy issues.

O wait its not the 90's anymore.

I dont think this will convert anyone. If someone is Christian they might want to use it, if not they dont use it.

I also dont see this as making the company Christian per se, if it does the poor folk at DTSV (for example) must be super confused.
