Vox launches Zeppelin, a 4 Mbps wireless Diginet alternative

Please note that this is a corporate solution with very low contention ratios (maximum 3:1 on international traffic, for example) and hence the price tag.
 
R20k pm for a 4mb guaranteed service isn't bad at all. The company where I'm working is paying nearly R10k pm for a guaranteed 256kb service that can burst upto 2-3mb depending on how busy they line is. Unfortunately we are forced to use this as the office park we're in doesn't allow the companies to install their own ADSL/Diginet lines. So we're stuck with getting something wireless and IBurst/3G isn't gauranteed, where this is which is great for companies that need to have internet uptime >99%.
 
That is very attractive, considering that we are paying R14000 per month for a 512 Diginet line, ISP + Telkom line rental.

So for a few rand more we will get 8x more bandwidth.
 
The company my wife works for uses DataPro for ADSL via Telkom. 4Meg line, as per both Telkom & DataPro invoice. However, download speeds sit at 19KB/Sec. I have been trying to encourage DataPro & or Telkom to things right.

Is this slow (like I think) or acceptable? They are paying including Telkom costs just shy of R3k per month for 6 PC's to access internet.

The company I work for uses MWEB Business 4Meg line and we get download rates of 300KB/Sec. I don't know how much we pay though.

So, not to waste anyone's time, but does anyone think that DataPro in this scenario is offering a good service? Or should my wife's employer leave DataPro for MWEB?
 
It's a 50GB Cap by the way. I see there's another linke for Vox ASDL - I will repost there.
 
my wireless provider is the same thing R2000 uncapped 384k includes router rental etc.
 
I offer the same for 1/2 of the price @ R120 per GB. 1:2 ~ 1:8 con + my voice rates are cheaper than VOX. Cape + Greater Cape area + SLA.

Paying R17k for 1984kb/s diginet with Telkom as my ISP

I switched to my new ISP about 6 months back and find there service phenomenal. They are providing me with a business ADSL connection which flies. I have a 4Meg DSL running at about 3.5meg 90% of the time and I’m only paying R2500 per month including Router. Their service delivery is flippin good too.

Rather late than never I suppose; I just Joined Vox Orion...

For the wireless access medium we use Broadlink...

Very important with them is they deliver 15Ghz LICENSED SPECTRUM - this is very important for uptime and especially important when running a converged link like Zeppelin (Voice & Data)
