Vox or Afrihost

Hi fellow mybroadbandians,

Looking to get my first very own uncapped adsl line (yay!)
(My knowledge of ISPs, telkom etc isn't that great ofcourse)

I will be using this line for gaming, downloading, streaming, work etc etc.

I'm looking at the 4mb uncapped from Afrihost for R397.

OR

The 10mb uncapped from Vox for R399.

Any reasons I shouldn't go for the Vox option?

Is there something else I should take mind, or maybe consider other ISPs?

Thanks for the advice, I also have a question regarding line rental.

Does the price of line rental increase depending on what speed your connection is? (If your ISP is not with Telkom)

Because it seems that on Telkom's site, the price stays the same @ R166 no matter what speed it is?

R166 for the phone line. ADSL line is extra and changes price depending on the speed you choose.

Phone line rental (Telkom) R 166 p/m
ISP subscription (Vox, 10mb uncapped) R 399 p/m

Yea sounds about right. I'd advise against Vox though. They're having issue, try out something like Crystal Web if you're new to ADSL. As long as you stay away from MTN based ISPs (Axxess or Afrihost) you'll be fine for the most part.

Okey people I need some more help here please.

There is so much information going around regarding ISPs.

At the moment there is information that I should stay away from Telkom, Afrihost, Axxess, Mweb, Openweb, Vox?

Is this correct? Cause it looks more and more that there is no real correct option...
