Over the last week, I noticed that VOX's network drops of a cliff in terms of bandwidth to US AWS services and Github around about ~4:15 pm ~5:30 pm every day this persists till after I go to bed, but the next morning everything is flying again. I'm not talking a slight reduction in speed I'm talking going from 200mbit down to old dialup modem 28.8/56kbitsi.e. 5-10KB/sec speeds. Taking over 2 minutes to download a small 2mbyte files, taking 10 minutes to load simple websites loaded on EC2 in the USA.
I contacted support etc, their lower-tier guys were helpful etc acknowledged there was an issue, etc. till I got to the senior tier guy who just stonewalled giving any support at all saying they don't guarantee international speeds and tough luck. What an a$ $hole feck tard.
Anyway, has anyone else been seeing the same thing? Slow downloads from some sites (particularly AWS EC2 / S3 buckets?) When I VPN through our company MACROLAN network the issue goes away.
I am going to wait for a senior manager to give me a call to see if they resolve their problem or say that their "problem" state is acceptable and the normal sh! t they are selling. Steering clear of them for now...
