Anyone have a good experience with Vox?
I'd like to share my poor experience I have had with them. Installed Friday 10 Feb, Monday the 13th Feb at exactly 8am my internet goes down. It was only restored 4 days later at 430pm Friday 17th.
Vox only credited me for one day. They refuse to credit me for the rest as their reports show that there was usage on the account the other days. This is puzzling as I had no internet at all during the time period and the faulty device was only replaced on Friday the 17th afternoon. I have pleaded with them out of principal but they refuse. It's not about the money a few hundred bucks but about the principle and their complete lack of interest. My sales lady Jennifer Humphreys and the accountant Zelma Jooste are powerless to make any impact on the decisions from above.
Their Vobi app is sketchy at best with lots of echo, people can't hear me and the wifi device they give you is so poor that within 5-10 meters from the device your signal degrades to a point that your connection is affected..
I applied for the account long before fibre even arrived. My account was approved and was installed. Then I suddenly got a suspension warning that they sent me every day via email and SMS warning me that my documents are incomplete and that suspension is immanent. They needed a certified copy of my id. The daily warning and sms's continued unabated even after telling them i would sort it out. The strong arm tactics left a bad taste in my mouth.
They installation was a disaster, they messed up the wall in my office with a couple of holes as they used the wrong drill bit size. By the time they left the unit was still not attached securely to the wall and there was exposed fibre cables leading into the unit. It was so bad that the guys who did the main infrastructure were shocked and they did the repair for me as a favour.
They seem to be a company that you cannot negotiate with. Their word id final. The customer has no say.
I have initiated a cancellation in the mean time (unless they prepared to refund me) and assume my next battle will be the installation costs that they will now send my way. I don't mind paying as long as they repair and re paint my wall.
Im sure others have had a positive experience with them but mine has been an unpleasant disaster.
Thanks
Ryan
