Having a bit of problem with Vox, wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

Windows 10 Update service reports error 0x8024402f on all 20 of my machines. I have changed routers, switches, ran software repairs, etc. In desperation, I switched over to Afrihost and all the machines are updating. Switch back to Vox and getting error again.

Was wondering if cvanwie can shed some light over here?

I'm on Vox and I updated to Windows 10 (from 8.1) yesterday without any problem. Sorry, I know this doesn't help you, but just to let you know it's not happening with everyone (on Vox).

Vox has an history of blocking ipv6 addresses on ports it does not know the purpose of.
had a almost 2month long battle just to get xbox live working like it should. flipped to webafrica in the interim while i had to fight and prove why its not Microsoft problem.

We don't block ports. The Xbox live chat was a specific issue during congestion which was corrected.

As far as troubles with Windows 10 -- this is the first time I've ever heard of such a problem. I've sent a PM to perform a bit of trouble shooting with you leniyl

Uh, you do know that cvanwie is not only the Chief Architect over at Vox he is also a very decent guy who spends ages (including what I would regard as personal time) helping us sort out problems here on MyBB.

There is no call to be so damned rude

The unfortunate thing in this business is that there are so many people involved and not every person is aware of the intricate details of fixes, let alone the number of fixes for similar issues.

I personally corrected a problem where Xbox Live Party Chat failed to work during times of congestion on the network. The reason for this was that Gaming was received a different DSCP marking than Teredo tunneling (which is used IPv4 to IPv6). This mismatch of DSCP (Network QOS) marking caused the application to fail. I implemented a change to the markings specifically for the Xbox One application so that this would no longer be a problem and the Xbox One Party Chat would work as it should during times of congestion.

Take it, leave it, ignore it; but please don't call me a liar when you don't know me, nor the systems here.

I've been nothing but transparent and forth coming with information to better illustrate where and what problems exist so that it's not a matter of "oh we fixed x" and you have no clue what it was.

Same here. Being trying all last week to download the update without success. Changed to Axxess download started immediately. Thanks for the info.

Are you able to test today during the day by chance?

Windows 10 updates aren't downloading for me either :/

The OS finds the update but it won't download on Vox. Downloads fine on AH.

It may not be your ISP, I've had this problem on Win 8.1 and on 10 on various machines. Try switching windows firewall off and uninstalling your anti-virus, reboot and retry the upgrade.

Also get the (0x8024402f) on VOX.

Telkom ISP works fine.

I believe that I know what is causing this issue. I tested with a user who was having the same problem.

I can't fix this now, I'll have to resolve this in the morning.

To add to what cvanwie has said, I googled the error code and most posts says it's a network problem. Well trying to confirm if it was a vox problem and maybe not a firewall issue on my current adapter, I ran the update with a VPN (MWeb's backbone) on. Update went through and started downloading instantly. I told cvanwie about this, and he said he was going to change one thing on my account. After he did that, I retried without the VPN - the update carried on downloading from where it left off.
