Vox & Windows 10 updates

To add to what cvanwie has said, I googled the error code and most posts says it's a network problem. Well trying to confirm if it was a vox problem and maybe not a firewall issue on my current adapter, I ran the update with a VPN (MWeb's backbone) on. Update went through and started downloading instantly. I told cvanwie about this, and he said he was going to change one thing on my account. After he did that, I retried without the VPN - the update carried on downloading from where it left off.

Thanks for your help. I'm sure I'll get this resolved first thing in the morning for everyone to benefit from.

Hi guys,

I need someone from JHB who is having this issue message me urgently, thanks.

The unfortunate thing in this business is that there are so many people involved and not every person is aware of the intricate details of fixes, let alone the number of fixes for similar issues.

I personally corrected a problem where Xbox Live Party Chat failed to work during times of congestion on the network. The reason for this was that Gaming was received a different DSCP marking than Teredo tunneling (which is used IPv4 to IPv6). This mismatch of DSCP (Network QOS) marking caused the application to fail. I implemented a change to the markings specifically for the Xbox One application so that this would no longer be a problem and the Xbox One Party Chat would work as it should during times of congestion.

Take it, leave it, ignore it; but please don't call me a liar when you don't know me, nor the systems here.

I've been nothing but transparent and forth coming with information to better illustrate where and what problems exist so that it's not a matter of "oh we fixed x" and you have no clue what it was.

you know, the problem i had just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and it came out all wrong lashing out on you.
I was given the run around daily by the VOX tecs for almost 2months asking me for Microsoft logs of my xbox etc etc etc

I gave myself the day to return to this thread and humbly apologise.
I am also in the IT industry and should know better as i know how it gets.

keep well boet.

I have nothing but respect for you, for saying that Etienne.

Thank you.

If there's a problem, shoot me a message and I'll be more than happy to lend a hand.

I am not in JHB., but downloaded and installed Win 10 on a laptop last night and did the final updates this morning without a problem.:)

Unfortunately not, are yous till having a problem?

It totally slipped my mind that I have another machine with Windows 10, but I did check for and install updates after the fact, so I think it's sorted.

Has anybody been able to download the latest Threshold 2 win 10 update? I was wondering if the same thing is happening as last time with Vox and Win 10 updates.

Mine downloaded and installed just fine.

What's the issue, does it not download or does it not even show a update is available?

Shows:-
"Your device is up to date. Last checked: Today, ‏‎08:21"
My version:-
OS Version 10.0.10240.16590 (Win10 RTM)

I think there is something up on the Microsoft side, mine downloaded just fine, and another laptop I had to use the Media Creation Tool from them, the update just never showed, it must be something to do with the update being pulled and then rereleased.

Thanks. I tried with Axxess and it still wouldn't download. As you say, must be on Microsoft side.
