This question is for the techs.

What VPN are you guys using for services like Azure?
Yes, Azure does come with a "Virtual Network Gateway" which uses certificates to authenticate users. But of course that raises some issues.

So I am just wondering what other solutions you guys might be working with.
There is always the "Setup a Server 2019 with Routing and remote access"(Thus not RDP straight) or a VM with other software like FortiGate-VM.

Just looking for some info.

By and large on AWS we use SSM to indirectly SSH into instances either from the GUI or command like depending on the need.

Don’t know if Azure had an SSM equivalent but I do recall using SSH with it so not too hard to implement that with keys etc.

Hardware devices use AWS’s own VPN for Site-2-Site links.

If I needed a Client-2-Site setup where AWS’s own VPN wouldn’t work (such as identity management not being integrated) would likely look at a Wireguard based solution.

jumpbox with ssh or wireguard/tailscale

Why did I not know about Tailscale?

It seems amazing for its Okta integration alone never mind anything else.

****

It’s a wee bit on the pricey side but the exact kind of integration I’ve been looking with a GUI for Wireguard.
