VPN Unlimited

Does it maintain logs of any kind?
In any event this could well turn out to be a case of "you get what you pay for"
I'll give the trial a shot but I'm more inclined to stick with Private Internet Access.

Well I got one of those froot vpn accounts for free and it works surprisingly well (normally around 20Mbit/sec).

Say what? Got a link or something? ...please :D
If you have windows 7 and upwards

Win 7+ has a built in VPN server <- follow the instructions here.

Once you've forwarded the port to the router, you're good to go.

On my phone (S4) it has a VPN setting which, once enabled creates an encrypted tunnel between myself and my PC at home. So all traffic is routed via my PC to and from the internet.

I don't really use it for that though, its mostly to connect to my home network :)

I think a lot of people use VPN's for anonymity. Using a VPN server located at your house still has your IP connected to it.

Ooooh, thanks (I'll check out that link later) but then I also was wondering about this:
(I use teamviewer to connect to my home pc :o)

?

I mean that while your traffic will be encrypted, if you're for example connected to torrent trackers it's still going to list your public IP address there.

Yes, I understand, I was sort of directing my question to YingYang :) Maybe he's just interested in encrypting the connection between his mobile device and home pc over the net?

Oh, if I want to hide something, I own a few VPS's around the world (which I use for other legit purposes) through which I could tunnel connections...."could" :p

Get a free vps which you could tunnel through. Go to www.vps.me You get a 10gb bandwidth limit though. Its fast 1mb upload speed and 1meg download (line speed 10240kbps up and down) , you can choose one of the many UNIX OS and the ram is limited to 348 MB. You also get a 5gb disk space and a 0.6 Ghz cpu . You have a sort of c-panel to change OS and check your vps status, do restarts and shutdowns, aswell as do port fowards. You can then just setup a vps tunnel and the you sorted. As far as I know, the common 80, 135, etc ports are not available, therefore just use a different port for your VPN Tunnel. It isn't bad, its pretty reasonable since its free.

Does it have tun/tap available though? Many vps providers don't enable this.

Hey, I've applied for a free plan on vps.me but it says that they have used up free vps quota today :( I need to host my bot on a remote 24/7 server asap. Do you think Heroku is good enough for my needs?

Whats the catch, signed up for free edition, working well.
I mainly want to keep prying eyes from seeing me browse myBB and supersport etc during office hours.
