VPN with teamviewer

Hi everyone

I want to watch a certain sports channel from overseas , unfortunately only users from that country can watch the channel online for free,
and the solution for overseas users,like myself is to use VPN.
Luckily my mom stays there.

I had a look at the router and it's a very old one, that does not support VPN (i can try a firware update).
I tried the VPN option in team viewer but i still can't watch the channel and google, still see me coming from SA.

What am i missing here?
Should i try something like open VPN?

Setup a squid proxy and her machine and proxy through it

like i said in your previous post, it seems like a routing issue, setup some static routes with your gateway being the router on the other end and set ur DNS settings as the same router and you should be good to go....
