Who uses it? And who went from Healbot to vuhdo?

I find it tough to keep track of which HoT's are on my tank as Healbot actually showed you the spell icon on the bar itself... any issues when you switched?

When I was still playing I used Vuhdo.
There is a way to customise Vuhdo to show specific buffs in predetermined locations.

I'm using Vuhdo. I've never used Healbot so I don't have any problems tracking spells. I haven't set anything up but the only spell I can't track is Wild Growth.

You can setup Vuhdo to track just about anything, but it appears as dots on the profile with different colors.

So middle bottom red dot is rejuv, left middle green dot is regrowth, top middle counter dot/prism thing is lifebloom (goes entirely green when you have 3 stacks) and Wild growth is a purple counter bottom right middle-ish.

The issue I have (which i probably have to get used to) is that it doesn't show which is which. You have to know beforehand which is which. Whereas Healbot showed you the tooltip/tile of which spells are active on any particular person.

Also haven't figured out (even though I have tried many times) how to put your tank in a separate tile (the one that's available)

I think vuhdo is more of a raid thing than a 5 man PUG thing...

You create a seperate frame for "tanks"
When you start the raid you desigate people as "Tanks" either as custom or import from ORA and they will be in that frame

Where the Buffs appear is configurable wrt which buffs appears in which block. You can also custome name Buffs.

Once setup it is irrelevant whether u run in 5 man or raids.

I recommend using grid with corner text/my hots for druid healing. Basically you can set it up so that grid shows a timer ticking down in each corner for your hots. It works for 5 mans and raids.

I don't have a ui pic here at work but I have the following configured

- Border: coloured Red for aggro, Blue for incoming heal, Purple for a curse, Green for a poison - I have priorities set so that poisons/curses show ahead of aggro/incoming heals.

- Top Right Corner: set to show timer for my Rejuvenation counting down - this ones green

- Top Left Corner: set to show timer for my regrowth counting down - light blue

- Bottom Left Corner: set to show timer for my wild growth counting down - pink

- Bottom Right Corner: set to show timer for my lifebloom counting down - note it also shows different colour text based on whether its 1,2 or 3 stacked.

- Centre Icon: I show raid debuffs here

- Bottom Centre Icon: I show raid markers - basically the reason for this is boss mods will frequently mark people if they get some debuff its not usually important for a healer to know who has what mark but for Anub heroic it helped to allocate 1 healer to always healing the person who got blue square.

Edit: My ui isn't set up exactly the same way but here's a guide/example -http://treebarkjacket.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-to-grid-hot-tracking.html

I know that putting your tank on focus will put it in the personal tank tile. I just don't use that tile, since I'm always putting my tank on focus and then have a macro that targets the current focus.

Your colours are different than mine though. Regrowth is red and rejuv is green for me. I also have a white one on the right middle for abolish poison (druids need something similar for curses though).

Over the years I've gotten into the habit of structuring our 25 man raids - basically I shove all the tanks/offtanks into group 1, fill it up with melee, use group 2 for more melee and then groups 3/4 for ranged and group 5 for healers.

In 10 man raids I go melee/tanks in group 1 and ranged/healers in group 2.

I think it helps more then sorting by class and you get used to seeing certain people in certain spots.

I was a Grid & Healbot user and for years but for quite a while now I'm using VuhDo. Its like healbot on steroids. Imo Grid is just old now.
We raid seriously, focus (and will with ICC) on 25 HM's and VuhDo is my choice.

You can set it up so it show your spell icons. Not sure if this is what you mean, but here goes. I'll add some screenies. This is from my laptop and not exactly as on my raiding pc, but close enough.

Hots running:

Where u set this:

Agree with twixt, proper standard raid setup starts with tanks in group1, melee in 1,2,3 etc. Range 3/4 Healers 5 etc. Except some encounters that there is group jobs for etc.
Simply because some dmg is melee, some range only etc and it makes it allot easier to know what you healing where etc. (if that makes sense 2 u)

All the healers in our guild have to use VuhDo. Im not a healer but our guild healers swear by it.

I notice that our wipes have been deminished so I would recommend it.

x-pearl with cliche works the best for me, my frames go haywire with healbot in a bg

vuhdo does not come with ora2 tank frames, which most guilds recommend having these days.

Hehe... the author of Xperl happens to be in my guild :-p

We permanently rip him off when something goes wrong or if someone dc's... we always blame X-perl...

We even have this conspiracy theory that X-perl will mail some of your gold to the author's character when you are AFK....

A: oRA3 is the requirement here

B: VuhDo works fine with its tank frame & oRA3

C: Tbh I don't see the need for a seperate tank frame in your healing layout @ all when raid is setup correctly.
DPSing well ye u want that with tanks target etc etc and VuhDo comes with that by default.

But anyway the Op asked about spell icon on the bars and I posted screenies on it 2 help, hope it did/does.

and lolz Pornolio :) I used 2 use Xperl a long time ago also. Atm using ShadowedUF, but I disable the raid part anyway as VuhDo does the job.

THANK YOU!!!! That's EXACTLY what I need to keep track with a glance instead of figuring out what is what :)

The other night I had a red dot appear, NO IDEA what it was (wasn't one of my heals, so I assumed it might have been incoming aggro? *shrug*)

Just tested it out by myself, everytime I heal myself a little red dot appears top left (a few millimeters into the health bar)

What does the red dot mean?

I think that red dot means that the person can receive a swiftmend. Mine had that option available

Ah! that makes sense. Will check if I do a WG and a LB if the red dot pops up. If not, Swiftmend it is!

I wonder if it takes the cooldown into account, because that would SERIOUSLY help me track it.

Else, what do you guys use as cooldown timers to check which stuff is on cooldown still? Looking for Raid specific stuffs (geared for raiding, opening up my evenings for some raiding so I might join a guild soon)

Taking a wild guess, but could that red dot not indicate an incoming heal?

I personally use ForteXorcist and I love how customizable it is. You can select from a range of options including sound warnings for certain spells that come off cooldown.

If you look @ that 2nd screenie I gave, if you tick the "Swiftmend, show" then it will do a red dot when there are another hot on the personal that can be swiftmended.
(anyway dude, I suppose I can even send you my vuhdo config file, which u can then just pop in WTF)

In general my UI consists out of +- this:

Shadowed Unit Frames
oUF 3D Orbs (having some fun with it atm)
Prat
VuhDo
Squeenix or simpleMinimap
ArkInvetory
Bartender
ButtonFacade
Minimap Button Frame
*** OmniCC - Shows cooldowns of your spells on their buttons - u can see this on the screenie with ie Innervate (maybe you can look @ TellMeWhen also)
oRA3 (needed for guild raiding, shows raid wide couldowns, like Rebirth etc)
Postal
Power Auras Classic (you config it you show cooldowns, procs etc)
Quartz
Recount
Talented
TipTac
Vanas KoS
WIM
DBM
TidyPlates

Lemme add screenie:

SUF's raid frame (left above chat) is enabled in this shot just to show it. I disable it on druid as I only need VuhDo. Recount is from earlier Twins 25hc, this is @ Anub 25 normal.

Btw, if some other people can mention some neat addons they use it would be cool. Always good to learn about something new.
