It would help with my curiosityJust out of curiosity, don't mean to be direct or anything but what would this information help with?
It would help with my curiosity
Yeah I don't think it's any of your business.
My exact point, even if it was R200 it helps nothing.
Why would any ISP divulge such confidential information.
It's about a grand a month for a 100/100
For the consumer.
dstvnothing has just been stating how bad Cool Ideas is in page load, said he moved to Home-Connect and is probably having issues with them as well now as it's a general Vuma issue.

Wow thanks for the stalk!!
But i am interested in this Vuma Network issue?
Is this a a known Issue?
Since moving I've had almost instant page load times
*IMPORTANT NOTICE* - Dear Cool Client
Vumatel and Fibrehoods are experiencing disruption on their backhaul network in the Rosebank area, causing complete link outages, and in other cases increased latency and packet loss
Teams from Vumatel and Fibrehoods are investigating, and have been dispatched. There is currenly no confirmed time for resolution.
Your patience and understanding is much appreciated

Well its both of their problems Egoligas pipe exploded last night and damaged their cables there was to much gas in the area so they couldnt work last night
No. It's about a grand a month from Vuma to the ISP for 100/100.
The consumer pays more than that (1100-1500) depending on the ISP.
Cool ideas is fantastic. Vumatel is fantastic. That is all. (vuma active ethernet, that is. Can't speak for aerial. My pings to 8.8.8.8 are consistently below 1ms on Crystal Web. A massive fiber outage in Rosebank was mitigated within 2 hours)
Slow page loads will be a problem on the PC, or bad settings or something.
The stalk? You stated it on a thread I was following which was talking about Afrihost. Yours is just the first comment I've read complaining about page load times on Cool Ideas, which is why I remember it.
Cool, nice to know.![]()
The page load time we a long term issue for me on Cool Ideas, so i don't think temporary network issue on the Vuma Network are to blame.
The change from Cool Ideas to Home-connect was originally purely due the cost saving, after the change i noticed the much improved service.
So unless people change i think they wouldn't noticed the degraded service on the cool ideas network, this my be the reason.
Go check for submissions on the ICASA website.
If it is not there, then I doubt if anyone will provide it here as they are bound by NDAs when they contract with Vumatel.
Wtf happened to your profile pic?
